Hikurangi Skatepark & Playground Community Consultation

Help Design Hikurangi’s New Skate & Play Space

Plans are underway for a new skatepark and playground in Hikurangi, and the community is invited to help shape what it will look like.

Whangārei District Council will be gathering ideas from local families, tamariki and rangatahi to help design the space, which is proposed for Park Street beside the Hikurangi Rugby Clubrooms.

Bring the kids along for a relaxed afternoon where they can share their ideas, take part in design activities, and enjoy a sausage sizzle, with the Road Safety team also on hand.
