Matapouri Kaitiaki Project
Established over many years as a land care group, our focus was on eradicating possums, rats, and stoats to restore biodiversity in our coastal forests. With the support of the Council, local hapu, WWF, and the community, we’ve seen flora and fauna flourish, creating a healthier environment for future generations. 🌱
We’ve now handed the trapping efforts over to Tutukaka Landcare Trust, but you can still get involved in conservation efforts.
