Play, Train or Compete at the Hikurangi Multisport Complex
The Hikurangi Multisport Complex is a fantastic local facility used by sports clubs for training throughout the year – and it’s also open for the community to enjoy a game of tennis.
Whether you’re keen for a casual hit with friends, a family game, or brushing up on your skills, the courts are available for public tennis sessions every Thursday from 4pm at the Hikurangi Tennis Club. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome.
The season runs from 1 October to 31 March, with very affordable membership:

Want to Play Outside Club Hours?
The tennis courts are also available for private use. Keys can be hired to access the facility whenever the courts aren’t booked for other sports training.
To arrange key hire, visit Friendship House at the War Memorial Hall on King Street:

Because the turf is occasionally used for sports training such as netball or hockey, access depends on existing bookings — but weekends and school holidays are generally wide open for key holders to enjoy the courts.
Hosting an Event?
The Hikurangi Multisport Complex can also be booked for tournaments, open days and other sporting events.
