Hikurangi Badminton Club
The Hikurangi Badminton Club is a relaxed, social sports group offering regular badminton sessions for locals of all abilities. Whether you’re keen for a bit of mid-week movement, a social hit, or simply a fun way to stay active, the club keeps things friendly and low-key.
Sessions run every Wednesday, with both a daytime and evening option to suit different schedules. Daytime social badminton is held from 9.00am–12.00pm at the Hikurangi War Memorial Hall, while evening play runs 6.30pm–9.00pm at the Hikurangi School Gym. Sessions are casual, cost $2, and are open to anyone who wants to give it a go.
Rackets are available, so there’s no need for gear or prior experience – just turn up and play. The club is a great way to meet people, keep moving, and enjoy a classic community sport right here in Hikurangi.
