Hikurangi Civil Defence Team

The Hikurangi Civil Defence Team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the Hikurangi community during significant weather events or emergencies. With a newly completed setup, the team is well-equipped to manage evacuations at four key locations in Hikurangi, thanks to the support of the Northland Regional Council and the Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal Trust. The team also receives ongoing assistance from the Hikurangi Friendship House Charitable Trust and the Hikurangi Volunteer Fire Brigade, who play essential roles in community preparedness and support.
