Whale Tail Park

Whale Tail Park is more than just a playground—it’s a community space, designed with local input, with a theme that reflects its coastal location (whale tails, ship motif, proximity to beach and bays). It’s become a favourite spot for families and children in Ngunguru, offering a safe, fun and visually engaging outdoor place to gather.

It’s a community playground / park operated by the Whangārei District Council.

• Ngunguru Playground (Pine Road & Kopipi Crescent)
  Fully fenced with a range of equipment. There’s shade over parts of it. Outside the fence is a grassy area good for ball games or running around.
