Tutukaka Landcare Coalition ~ Protecting Our Coast

The Tutukaka Landcare Coalition (TLC) is a community conservation group working along the Tutukaka Coast in Northland. They focus on restoring native forests and wetlands, protecting iconic species like kiwi and pāteke, and keeping the region’s biodiversity thriving.

TLC runs a large-scale predator trapping network, controls invasive weeds, restores habitats, and monitors wildlife. They also engage the community through workshops, planting days, and hands-on conservation events, helping locals and visitors make a real difference.
